Solar activity report
Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled. Solar wind speed at
ACE has continually increased from around 300 km/s to 430 km/s as a
result of a sector boundary crossing around 03/0800 UT.

The geomagnetic field is
expected to be quiet to unsettled on 04 July. Predominately quiet
conditions are expected for 05-06 July.
